The Lions Club of Seymour Goulburn recently unveiled their centenary project, designed to celebrate 100 years of the organisation worldwide.

A table and bench seats, dedicated to past, present and future Lions in Seymour, were erected in Lions Park.

Lions Club Seymour Goulburn member Liz Johnson said Tom Ponyiczky of Mitchell Shire Parks and Gardens assisted with the location and the accessibility to the area.

‘‘Our gratitude and thanks also go to Leigh Shields for organising and laying the slab of concrete, to Mawson’s for supplying the concrete, Seymour Hardware for their donation of materials and Vic Bottaro for donating the paint,’’ she said.

‘‘Your support of the Lions Club of Seymour Goulburn is appreciated ... and thanks also goes to Lions members and friends for helping with this project.’’

Mitchell Shire Mayor Rhonda Sanderson unveiled the memorial table and bench seats, while Anna Babycz was inducted into the Lions Club of Seymour Goulburn by zone chairman Laurie Cooper.
