There were good fields and the races were keenly contested at the St Pats Races.
The course was picture perfect with green lawns, shady trees and the hills of Yea providing an ideal setting.
There was a picnic atmosphere among the crowd as they enjoyed day of good racing.
Like last year, the winner of the Larkfield Estate St Pats Cup was Lardner Lou ridden by Caitlin King and trained by Michelle Murray from Sale.
It was a closely contested race with Larner Lou winning by a half head from Riley’s Rocket.
Other races were sponsored by Webb Pastoral, Royal Mail Hotel, Reddrops FoodWorks, Black Range Estate and Peppercorn Hotel.
Fifty guests enjoyed fine dining in the club house with chefs Naomi Harry and Marilyn Mallia preparing and presenting a lunch.
The barbecue, arranged and conducted by the Sacred Heart parents, was a hit, and people flocked to buy the home-made cakes, jams, chutneys and home-grown produce.
More than 80 children participated in the Kelly Sports program, enjoying the games and variety of activities.
