Seymour’s Lachlan Drummond, who took 2-7 off nine overs, fires one down to Kilmore’s Callum Partridge.

Seymour v Kilmore

Seymour has comfortably beaten Kilmore thanks to some consistent team bowling. Kilmore were held to 111 runs, with a top score of 40 from Daniel Clemm. Joseph Pollock was the pick of the bowlers with 3-18 off nine overs and three other bowlers chipped in with two wickets each. The run chase was never in doubt for Seymour as they made the total in 29 overs with five wickets in hand. James Noonan was the top scorer of the match with 48. The win takes Seymour to fourth on the table.

Eastern Hill v Royals

Eastern Hill has smashed the Royals by 151 runs thanks to some consistent team batting and an absolute master class with the ball. Tyler Peacock has taken an unbelievable 6/7 off just 3.5 overs to totally destroy the Royals’ batting line up. The Royals had no answer for Peacock for kept them to 59 runs all out. Glen Loraine top scored for Eastern Hill with 47 runs opening the batting.

Puckapunyal v Tallarook

Puckapunyal was able to hold on for a gutsy draw after being on the brink of defeat against Tallarook. Tallarook batted first and made a solid total of 159 thanks to a 62 from opening batsmen Dale Short. Puckapunyal looked in trouble during the run chase, losing wickets in quick succession, with no batsmen able to make more than 12 runs. They were able to somehow survive until the end of play, ending the match on 9/61. James Bruce and Tim Muir finished with three wickets each.

Avenel v Yea Tigers

Avenel and Yea Tigers drew after the match was abandoned. Yea Tigers were bowled out for 92 runs with Andrew Butterworth top scoring with 38. Avenel was on 2/23 before the match was abandoned.

Other games

Broadford defeated Flowerdale by eight wickets. Taylor Shell top scored with 34 not out for Broadford. Joshua Vilinskis finished with four wickets.

Alexandra drew with Pyalong. Top scorer was Gavin Thomson for Pyalong, Chris Friswell took four wickets for Alexandra. Scott Whitehead top scored with 36 for Alexandra, Nathan Farrel-Ryan finished with four wickets.


Seymour Gold v Puckapunyal Nomads

The Puckapunyal Nomads have defeated Seymour Gold by only one wicket in a close game that came down to the wire. Seymour Gold made a solid first innings total of 134 thanks to a 55 from middle order batsmen Daniel McLarty. Adam Blaxland was the best of the bowlers for the Nomads with four wickets. The Nomads were just able to chase down the total with one wicket in hand thanks to a 55 from Steven Mott. Daniel McLarty was able to make an impact with the ball as well taking three wickets for Seymour Gold.

Puckapunyal Wanderers v Eastern Hill

Puckapunyal Wanderers have held onto a draw against Eastern Hill after falling behind a huge total. Eastern Hill made a big total of 210 off 40 overs, with Matthew Hall top scoring with 63. Eastern Hill was not able to bowl out the Wanderers, leaving them on 6/87 at the end of play with no significant scorers.

Alexandra v Nagambie

Nagambie has defeated Alexandra thanks to a big innings from Joshua Boyer in the middle order. He scored 71 runs to take the total to 164 off 35 overs and Alexandra could not chase it down. They were bowled out for 100 runs, with Daniel Burns top scoring with 39. Blair Taylor-Lloyd was the best of the bowlers with three wickets.

Other games

Pyalong 5/135 defeated Kilmore 7/99. Top scorer was Lachlan Bender with 67 runs. Nicholas Monaghan bowled 3/27.

Broadford Red drew with Broadford black. Conor Stute top scored with 44. James Hibbens bowled 4/24 for Broadford Red. Michael Mirabella bowled 3/21 for Broadford Black.
