Dylan Scopel has signed and been named vice-captain of Seymour Lions senior football side for the 2018 season.

Recruited from Nagambie in 2010, Dylan played under-18s and tied the under-18 best and fairest in his first year.

He also made his senior debut in 2010 and went on to play six games that year.

After moving to centre half back in 2016, Dylan further developed as a player, finishing fourth in the seniors best and fairest last year.

Dylan has now played 121 senior games and kicked 28 goals for the Lions.

In other good news for the Lions, premiership player Jake Anderson has recommitted to the side for the 2018 season.

The strong marking forward returned to the Den after a four-year break but had an interrupted season with an ankle injury.

Last year he kicked 17 goals in seven matches for the Lions.
