The end-of-year celebrations for Nagambie Primary School culminated with its 2017 Australia Down Under Christmas concert at the Nagambie Mechanics Hall on December 20.

A huge crowd of parents, family members and past students gathered to support the pupils and staff at their end-of-year concert.

As another year draws to a close, 2017’s school leaders Lexie Kleinig and Ben Shelton, Harry Palmer and Tiffany Bourke said it was a busy year for Nagambie Primary.

Prep students presented the original Christmas story by performing the Nativity play and then the higher grades presented some popular songs relating to Australia, which got the audience singing and clapping along.

Well-known hits such as Can You Feel It, Cold as Ice, Crocodile Rock, Go West, Run to Paradise and Living on a Prayer had the audience tapping along to the beat as the students sang and danced their way through their items.

The concert finale had the audience mesmerised as the whole school sang Silent Night and We Wish You a Merry Christmas. After this, the end-of-year raffle prizes were drawn.

Nagambie Primary School children and staff are to be congratulated on their sharing of the Christmas spirit.
