The croquet club had their final meeting of the year on December 11.
It was a congratulations and commiserations meeting.
We did make the finals and played off against Rich River at Shepparton on Wednesday, December 6.
Unfortunately we were beaten in all three low-scoring matches.
I think we all had our chances, being ahead in both singles matches for a time but a missed roquet or poor tactic making can be the end.
It is hard to play catch up when that happens.
We were happy with our play and made Rich River work hard for all their hoops.
The scores were Rich River three games 34 to Nagambie zero games 20 hoops.
We have a Christmas hamper raffle on the go, selling tickets at IGA.
The tickets are $1 each for a great selection of goodies.
Something for everyone.
We decided to have our next meeting in February because the silly season is so hectic but we do have the Pub Raffle Australia Day weekend so look forward to your support.
We closed our meeting and then celebrated Christmas with lunch at the Chocolate Cafe, which was enjoyed by all.
Nagambie Croquet Club members wish all readers best wishes for the festive season and for 2018.
