Local government and community organisations are being encouraged to apply for youth funding under the Engage! 2018-20 program.
The program is offering grants of between $90000 and $150000 over three years for groups working with young people to develop and deliver activities that engage a diverse range of young people in their local community.
Member for Euroa, Steph Ryan, said these grants will provide a broad range of benefits to young people.
‘‘They provide the opportunity for local government and community organisations to work with young people aged 12 to 25 years to develop activities that will help improve their health and wellbeing, social connections and their education, training and employment opportunities,’’ she said.
‘‘Priority will be given to proposals that give young people the opportunity to be part of the planning and delivery of the program and which are inclusive and accessible for all young people in the local community.’’
Applications for the Engage! 2018-20 grants close on Friday and applications for the National Youth Week 2018 grants close on November 24.
