Information wanted on Kilmore burglary

Investigators have released images of a man they would like to speak to regarding a burglary at a Kilmore business on October 4, where two adjoining businesses were targeted in Sydney St.

An external alarm was tampered with on one of the shops around 10.55pm on the Wednesday night, with several unsuccessful attempts to force open some doors and windows.

The perpetrators then moved on to the next building, forcing open a window and stealing some cash.

Avenel youth caught

An Avenel youth has been interviewed in relation to a burglary and criminal damage committed at a Livingstone St, Avenel house on November 1.

Alert neighbours heard noises and contacted police, and a patrol nearby was was able to speak with the youth and his four companions at the time.

Shoes stolen

A pair of shoes was stolen from the front door of a Casuarina St, Kilmore house, around 10am on October 29.

A maroon sedan was seen parked outside the house around the time of the theft.

Goods taken in Broadford

Numerous goods were stolen from a Broadford property sometime between the afternoon of October 28 and noon the next day.

A glass sliding door was forced open at the Fleming Dve house with power tools, chainsaws, laptop, television and cash being taken.

Some go-cart engines and other tools were stolen from a rear yard shed as well.

Businesses ransacked

Two adjoining businesses in Commercial Dve, Wallan were also targeted.

A man climbed over a rear fence into one yard in the early hours of October 27, looking through several vehicles parked in the yard before climbing over the fence into the neighbouring yard and again looking through some vehicles.

It is believed nothing was stolen from the cars.

Tow truck targeted

A white Nissan tow truck was stolen from a Sydney St, Kilmore business around 10pm on October 28.

Glass was found at the location, so it is believed a window was smashed to get into the cabin and CCTV shows it being driven away in a southerly direction.

Another vehicle recently stolen was a white Mazda tray taken from a house in Albert St, Kilmore, sometime between 8.30pm on October 29 and 9.30am the next morning.

The utility had two tool boxes installed at the rear which contained camping gear and assorted tools.

Tipper truck stolen, and found

A tipper truck carrying a bobcat in the rear tray was stolen from a Donnybrook Rd, Donnybrook business in mid-September, and the truck was recently found hidden among trees off Springridge Boulevard, Wallan.

Investigators believe the dumping of the truck may be related to the theft of two vehicle jacks from the rear of a ute parked nearby.

The jacks were stolen sometime between October 27 and October 30.
