St Mary’s College’s bi-annual art exhibition was a tremendous success with the official opening on October 19 being performed by past student Thom Williams.
The college’s middle-primary choir led by Kerry Hogan and Ashlyn Graham entertained while art works, photography, woodwork, plastics and home economics were exhibited.
Liz Mazurek, a St Mary’s College artist in residence, was thanked for her assistance and her contribution to the exhibition’s success.
A number of large murals created by class groups, as well as individual pieces by primary and secondary students, were shown in the exhibition.
Visitors to the exhibition were given the opportunity to vote for the People’s Choice Award.
The winning piece was a mural created by students from Years 5, 6 and 7 and Year 10 student Hannah Postill. It was titled African Safari.
Students were presented with their awards at a college assembly on Monday morning.
