Local teams St Mary’s, Tabilk and Seymour will feature heavily in week one of Seymour District Junior Football Netball League finals this weekend.
Sunday’s finals will be played at Yea (3 v 4) and Alexandra (1 v 2).
St Mary’s has been a dominate force in SDJFNL for a long time, and this season was no different.
The Saints have five out of their six teams in the running for this year’s premiership, with all netball sides and the under-16 footballers finishing the season on top of the ladder.
St Marys’ under-12 football side finished second, while the under-14 side narrowly missed out on finals, ending the season in fifth spot.
Tabilk also has five teams contesting finals (all but the under-16 footballers), with its under-14 footballers finishing in top spot, while Seymour has two sides in the running (under-16 football and under-12 netball).
