Mitchell Shire Mayor Rhonda Sanderson said council was committed to supporting local businesses and employment opportunities.

Mitchell Shire Council has three events coming up to help grow and develop business and employment opportunities in the shire, based on feedback received from local businesses.

Council will host three workshops tailored around some of the most common inquiries received from local businesses each week, as part of the Victorian Government’s Small Business Festival 2017.

The events will cover marketing on a small business budget, explaining business grants and effective record keeping.

Mitchell Shire Mayor Rhonda Sanderson said council was committed to supporting local businesses and employment opportunities.

‘‘Council is focused on building the capacity of our local businesses so that they are able to drive their own growth and create sustainable and local employment opportunities,’’ she said.

‘‘Council’s Small Business Festival events will cover off some really common inquiries we receive from local businesses. They are the perfect way for local small business owners to get some practical tips and advice that can quickly help their business become more productive and more efficient.’’ To book in for a Mitchell Shire Council event, please follow the registration links at www.festival.business.vic.gov.au
