The body of a Seymour woman found on the banks of the Goulburn River last Wednesday has been identified as 70-year-old Faye Parsons.
A Victoria Police spokeswoman said Mrs Parsons was found at 6.30pm by Seymour and Nagambie police.
Her concerned son Cameron Parsons put a call out on social media on Wednesday evening, believing his mum had gone walkabout.
Mr Parsons had believed his mother was visiting neighbours, as she had left her mobile phone and walking stick at home, but by about 5pm it became clear this wasn’t the case.
Tributes poured in for Mrs Parsons, who will be missed by her family and friends.
Police are not treating the incident as suspicious and a report is being prepared for the coroner.
