Show time on again in October

Crowds flocked to the first Night Off last year, which was part of the Great Seymour Show Off. The more people who support the show, the better the rides the Showmans Guild will bring to the show, so make sure you save the first weekend in October.

It’s not a Help Off, but a Help Out.

The Seymour Ag Society invites all community groups to participate in The Great Seymour Show Off this year.

Everyone benefits from a healthy, contributing neighbourhood, so we figure we should do whatever we can to encourage and recognise what makes our community such a great place to live.

So, here’s the deal.

We will offer any community group space in our Community Plaza. You can fundraise, promote your cause, recruit new volunteers, whatever you like, as long as it is legal and doesn’t require power.

You will be allocated a space about the size of a trestle table, and one free ticket. You will need to bring anything you require.

Your group would be expected to be involved both on Friday night (from 4pm to 9pm) and on Saturday (9am to 4pm).

The Help Out is yet another new initiative from the Ag Society, which is always looking for ways of making your show even better.

We were thrilled with Seymour’s response to our first Night Off last year, and promise that this year’s evening show will be even better.

Don’t forget school holidays are a great time to practise baking, taking photos, potting up plants, getting crafty and training your dog for The Woof Off.

We would like community groups to talk to our new secretary Melanie as soon as possible so we can get an idea of how much space we will need to allocate to this new idea.

Phone Melanie Anderson on 0409660228.

Ag Society vice-president
