The Nagambie Bendigo Bank has undergone significant changes, and the township is clearly going to benefit.

The main works were aimed at creating the new Nagambie Community Office — a workspace and shopfront for the use of all Nagambie community groups.

‘‘The bank has purchased state-of-the-art computers, printers, software and other equipment so that community groups will have available a professional and dedicated office where they can meet, create such things as newsletters, posters and community announcements and do all the work they need to further their group and benefit the community at large,’’ Community Bank chair Stephen Trompp said.

‘‘Our overall aim is to make their volunteer lives easier.

‘‘Most importantly, one of our team members will be available to help community groups use the office and facilities and get the most out of them. We know how much effort volunteers put into running their community activities and we want to help them in a very real and direct way.’’

There will be an official opening towards the end of July when all community groups and the public will be welcome to inspect the new facilities.

Expressions of interest from community groups interested in using the space are welcome. Phone the Bendigo Bank’s Nagambie branch on 57942565.
