District resident Katelyn Butler is one of just 12 people from across the world — and the only one from Australia — who has been selected to take part in the Godolphin Flying Start program.
Butler is a stud groom at Swettenham Stud.
The latest intake of scholarship recipients for the two-year program will start their training at Kildangan Stud in Ireland in August.
Godolphin Flying Start aims to recruit the most talented people worldwide, give them professional training and experience.
In turn, the recipients achieve their vision of producing committed industry leaders working in existing and emerging markets contributing to the long-term success of the thoroughbred industry.
