The teams lined up to form a guard of honour for Lions captain Mathew O’Keefe on Saturday.
After a brief speech from club president Craig Velt, Goulburn Valley League board member Rhonda Kortum presented O’Keefe with a GVFL life membership for his achievements.
He was also given a life membership to the Seymour Football Netball Club.
O’Keefe recently played his 200th game for the club.
In his career he has represented the GVFL 10 times, played five reserves games, 15 under-18 matches and was the runner-up in the club’s 2003 best and fairest.
He’s the current captain of the Lions and won a hat-trick of premierships with the club in 2005-07.
