It’s had its fair share of woes recently, but the Seymour service was among the most reliable across the V/Line network last month.
The latest performance figures show reliability on the Seymour line jumped one percentage point to 99.9 per cent.
V/Line chief executive James Pinder said the line had exceeded the 96 per cent reliability target each month for the past year.
The figures also show on-time performance for the Seymour line last month was 88.7 per cent.
Some services were delayed due to V/Line services losing time in the section of track shared with metropolitan trains, as well as train faults.
V/Line is also reminding north-east passengers about the new timetable soon to be introduced.
Four new weekend services will be added for both Seymour and Shepparton from August, offering better frequency and more choice to passengers on Saturdays and Sundays.
Across the network, 97.8 per cent of services operated as trains in May, while a total of 82 per cent of services arrived at their destination on time.
The new V/Line timetables will be available for download in July.
