Winners of the course run: Michael Crossley mens 19-39, Tom Davey male 13-18, Taryn Furletti second overall and Syd Voogt first overall.

Great morning: Thais Ornsby who enjoyed the day.

The Seymour Golf Club course run was completed by 90 runners in perfect warm and overcast conditions on Sunday.

The 7.5km course of lush fairways and some cross country sections provided great variation and quite a challenge for both locals and visitors.

Seymour Football Netball Club and the Make a Wish Foundation teams achieved their 20 entries and will receive half their fees back to their club and charity.

Organisers were happy with both their first effort at running such an event and the community response to it and so will look forward to doubling the entries next year.

Syd Voogt was the first male over the line in 28:01; Taryn Furletti was second overall and first woman in 28:13; Aaron Cimbaljevic was second male and third overall in 29:05; Nick Davey was third male and fourth overall in 30:14; Gemma Cricheon was the second female and 21st overall in 36:41; and Lisa Cameron was third woman and 22nd overall in 38:11.

Other section winners were: 6-12 years male Samuel Duncan 37:17, 6-12 female Keely Wright 68:49, 13-18 male Tom Davey 31:08, 13-18 female Maddie Hager 50:26, 19-39 male Michael Crossley 30:34, 19-39 female Melissa Parker 41:33, masters male Allan Connolly 31:20 and masters female Linda Duncan 38:42.
